Yesterday, on August 11, Reuters reported that the U.S. Postal Service(USPS) has banned New York-based vape distributor Demand Vape from using its services. A letter that was reviewed by Reuters showed that Demand Vape broke regulatory shipment laws. According to the Law Department's evidence, the Demand vape was selling vape products that were not approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). On the other hand, the Demand vape said that it complied with relevant laws and was contesting the revocation, adding that the industry operates in a “regulatory grey zone” with only a small number of FDA-authorised products that do not meet consumer demand. “We reject any characterization that paints Demand Vape as anything other than a transparent, lawful, and reputable business,” it said in a statement. According to the experts, these laws could increase the sales of Giant Tobacco companies like Altria and British American Tobacco. These companies were battling against illegal vapes, mostly from China.
